Technology Reflection
1. Einstein Quote- I agree with the Einstein quote. Technology has adapted so much that people will not have the proper knowledge to live everyday life. They will depend on the technology to tell them what everything is.
2. One Simple Question- As a kid, I never relied on technology. My parents raised me to having a flip phone and playing outside. I was always riding my bike or playing sports with friends. I did have a PlayStation, but could only play a certain length of time each night. My technology use was limited because I did not have a tablet, laptop, or a smartphone.
3. Technology Hijacked Dinner Time- Growing up, our family was not allowed to have phones at the table because it was a sign of being rude. Television was only allowed on certain occasions. Such as, having a sports game. As time goes on, adults and children are on their phones most of the time during meals.
4. Gene Edited Baby- I do not think that technology should be used in this way towards human life. As the article stated, it could change the lives of future generations.
5. Best 25 Inventions of 2017- Some of these inventions make me question where technology has gone these days, and some of them make good sense. For instance, the heating coffee mug that holds your coffee at the right temperature. I drink coffee and this idea would be brilliant! Along with the great ideas comes the iPhone X. I personally have an iPhone X and they have taken the technology of the phone beyond measures compared the to the first iPhone and other phones out there on the market.
6. HIV Vaccinations- With where technology is heading these days, there should and could be a vaccination and cure for HIV. This could save the lives of many and could ultimately get rid of HIV infections.
7. How Millennial's Use Technology- Millennial's use technology because that is what they were born into and their parents are not as strict on technology than they should be. As time goes on, technology will be broader and more adapted that each generation will use some type of technology.

I agree with the coffee mug statement because i think thats actually a very inovative way to use the technology. On the topic of phones i think they have advanced the tech in phones in a drastic wa in the past 15 years.
ReplyDeleteI agree that many of the top 25 inventions of 2017 were extremely revolutionary. The coffee mug and phone stood out for me as well. But I don't necessarily agree with Einstein's quote. I think tech can be a tool or a crutch depending on who is in control of it.

Technology is part of our lives and it brings out many conveniences to facilitate learning and communication; however, we also need to ponder how it affects human interactions as we just focus on "e" tools and how it can be efficient when we apply the "fancy" apps or software in education!
